ESSAY WRITING SHOPPING MALL
The trend of purchasing from luxury and lavish shopping malls
are rising day by day. The people prefer to do shopping from the branded shops
and refer their family and friends to do the same due to the high-quality
products available in the shopping malls. In this essay, I will discuss, what
are the positive outcomes of this trend as well as discuss the negative
consequences occurred in the society due to following this trend blindly.
Firstly, it is the positive aspects as the mall provide
convenience to the customers their approach it easily as usually the mall
located on the prime locations and the customer visit frequently as no time
constraint they feel as the malls open on the weekends and also offered special
discounted products on the gazette holidays. The security guard hired to
provide safety to the customer and the shop remained open till the late night
so the customers usually spend their hefty amount on the shopping so it
promotes business and develops the economy of the country. For instance, last
year I spent my vacations in Dubai, the Dubai Mall was near to my hotel. I
usually stroll in the mall in the late-night without any fear. I still
remembered the luxurious shopping experience. There are more than 10,000 shops
and the tourist all over the world visit every year usually during the shopping
festival so it generates revenue.
Secondly, the negative aspects to follow this trend is that
the companies who invest their money in the spacious shops located in the malls
spend their large budget on the marketing so they achieve their target and
usually they get high returns whereas in the local shops the customer rarely
visit their shops due to the new competitive trends so their products become
obsolete which result in the loss of the business investment. For instance, the
magazine published by the Jang Group reported that the Khaadi the clothing
brand, the business has been boosted remarkably in the ten years due to its
presence in the lavish malls and they have now more than 200 shops all over the
world to cater their customer’s needs.
To be concluded, the location, the timings, the security,
wonderful shopping experience, and marketing are the factors which contributed
to change the mindset of the customers and now people prefer to do shopping from
the malls rather than from the local small shops.
